I get nice wide ones from Enzed; pretty cheap too but you do have to know the exact diameter you are clamping. They look like the wide aircraft style with a large m8 nut to clamp.

Thanks chaps but unfortunately the application I have requires the common narrow style. I've noticed Boston, Hoist and Tridon brands and the Blackwoods cattledog has quite a range of tightening designs just to add to the options. i might have a wander around an engineering supply place and see what's there. Thanks.

What are you clamping Peter?

 

The enzed worm drive clamps are fine for all things on your engine.

 

T-bolt clamps as Dimitri mentioned are great for things that blow off with only worms drives like intercooler piping etc.
