Is there an easy way to find a Members Journal. A lot of the time people will say in a thread check out my journal for details of such and such and then I have to search through the journals to find that user.

Can we have a way to maybe link our build Journals to our profile.

Thanks

I click on the users name and search through their posts to find their journal  :-\ its another way but still time consuming...

Would be good if everyone had a link to their journal as their signature  ;)

THAT is the best way to go about it.

You can actually search for a member that has posted in that section too - it'll normally show the journal up pretty quickly.

With the current software there isn't really an easy way to make a project journal more findable. If I ever get around to migrating everything (front page articles, gallery and forum) under the 1 piece of software it would actually become a trivial task to set up.

Members could also add a link to their project journal from their signatures to make it easy for others. However this is something they have to proactively do.

Another site I go to that has a similar section has a sticky at the top of that particular forum with a list and links to all project threads. Could be sorted by active/inactive or car model, but that would take some effort by someone to collate it all.

I have taken Lurch's lead and linked it in my signature. Hopefully others will follow. :D

Yeah too manual, the system I want to use is Drupal and that has a "Views" module. The best way to explain it, is a database query builder tool. It makes it really easy to add links to particular pieces of content or display contextual information alongside content. I'll have a think about how it could be done with the current forum software, maybe there is an easy way to do it that I can't think of just yet.

Good idea and a good way to get more pageviews of your project thread.
