Road car or Race car?

My girlfriend has put this crazy idea into my head and I would like everyone's opinion on it. At this stage it really only needs interior, body work tidyup and some good old tlc, versus a new engine, body work, roll cage etc for proper racing, I guess my real question is....... is there enough S30 Z car club related happening to warrant putting it back on the road?

I'm all about the road. I know what a thrill it is to hit the track, I used to do it in my Supra back in the day. But when I build up my Zed, it's going to be all about night cruising out on the roads.

We are getting some more input from members to help with management of events for the site so hopefully in the ciming months we can start the ball rolling with more frequent meetings, but give it a couple of weeks as the discussions are in the pipeline. You should see a thread on it soon, for us to gauge some idea on interest levels re quartely or 3 meets a year sort of thing.

 

We've got some great ideas for the coming year!

I did some good hard thinking about it over night and I think I might put it back on the road. If i do I dont think it will see the track, will just wait a few years and buy a dedicated race car, have had some problems with road/race car combo's before there is too much compromise needed. Plus I just want to drive it again I think. When the time comes I know I wont have any issues with helping out with organising, running, or even idea's for future directions or even just giving my opinion where ever possible.
