I reckon 16's and even deep dish 15" look great on the 240z.  Always loved the look of Wats.

However - always thought the 2+2 (which I own) looked best with 17" wheels fitted as it is a larger vehicle.  So Wats were never foremost in my mind.....

But...

As some of you know - Ben is offering some fair prices on Wat's at the moment.  So the idea of 16" Wats keeps popping into my head as a possibility.

Been looking high and low for pics of a 2+2 with Wat's fitted for some inspiration - cannot find a thing though!  All seem to be 2 seater images.

Anyone got some HDD gems they could post.

I'm sure someones got some pics, but for the meantime here is a pic of some 16inch superlights (looks a bit like wats) on a 2+2 compared to 17in rotas. I agree about the 16inch thing being too small on a 2+2 as you can see by the pics. They don't look bad, it's just that I think the 17's look better.

Note that the wheel is actually on the back of the car, the front wheel has just been copied in photoshop. The suspension is also at stock height in the superlite pic however it has been lowered in the rota pic with photoshop.

Thanks for that.

I did see your photo in another post.  Found it quite helpful!

Fair point as well - those 16's give me a close enough impression to what I needed to know.

I was still hoping to find photo's of a lowered 2+2 with 16" Wats and maybe Zg's - I figured it might be a big ask though.

Cheers.

Hey sushi,

You should also look in the viczcar gallery as well.  Recent pic's of a 2+2 with the 17" RB's has been posted.  Might help with your decision.

Just a thought

Another way to fill in that guard space is to go with higher profile tyres

It will probably soften the ride a fraction

My 225x60x15 [on the 260 2+2 ] are very close in diameter to the 245x45x17 that I am going to run on the 240

I was running 16 x 8 sportsmax with 245 tyres on the rear, these wheels are a 0 offset and on the 2+2 don't quite fill out the ZG flares although I thought they looked OK.

I sold it on ebay about 8 years ago and it sat in my car port for 6 months before the importer could ship it to England for me
