Huw Posted October 8, 2006 Posted October 8, 2006 Just got my car back from having the wheels re-aligned and have been told that my front drivers side strut is very slightly bent (seemed true when we put in but only did a visual check)...andyway as a result, even with slightly adjustable toys i can only get neutral/positive camber... have zworx looking for a strut for me, but just in case,I'm wondering if anyone knows a place where you can get struts straightened (can legally straighten only 1 degree)....or where there might be a 240Z front driver side strut (260 ones will not fit) Huw Quote
zedrally Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 Hi Huw, A 260 strut will fit into a 240, the difference is in the thickness of the strut, the 260 being more thicker. Apart from that difference they will interchange. My advice is to find a pair of 260 fronts and change them over. Quote
road rider Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 If you don't want to change to the 260z larger diam struts let me know. I should be able to find a drivers side 240z strut in the shed somewhere. Price.....negotiable! Quote
lambs Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 If by 'thicker' you mean strut tube diameter, then early 260Z coupe's use the same as 240Z (ie approx 51mm OD), but even the larger (55mm) diameter struts will fit, although you would need to use a matched pair. Quote
