engine rattle when reved

Hi,

 

I have a l24 in a mk patrol, after a hard time on saturday. ( 4wd AND HILL CLIMBING)

 

The motor has a rattle  (it appears to be comming from the front of the motor) but only when it is reved - when it is idleing no noise. I have had the rocker cover off and there is no damage.

 

Also are the l24 efi exhast manifolds the same as the Na manifold. The mq has extractors, that a bit holy

Timing chain death rattle perhaps?

I'll mention it again but check your harmonic balancer bolt..they do come loose...

Not too long ago the flexplate came loose on my L26 and it rattled when revving it and when decelleration. But it echoed through the entire motor and sounded like it was coming from the top.
