Wanted 240 doors

Guys...need two doors for a 240.

 

Panel beater says mine are too far gone and he wont touch none genuine door skins as he reckons they never fit well enough.... and they're more work than fixing a half decent door. Having said that I'm keen to hear any feedback on fit and quality of door skins either from Rare Spares or Warren at All Z spares.

 

So looking for both sides, obviously wont find any without some rust but prepared to pay good money for the right doors.

I had the same problem not too long ago and ended up getting some doors from california, people want a lot of money for crap doors here if you can find them that is. My doors are rust free and had been walnut blasted and etch primed. Seller was lazy and didnt ship them for a month but once on their way they took 7days to arrive. All up inc shipping cost $830 aus. Have a look on ebay, there is always some on there.

Something I forgot to ask...are all 240 doors the same? I know there are differences in later 260's.

Your panel beater is lazy. The doors skins from RS fit, but they take longer to make fit nicely. The door shells are easy to fix as well - nothing is too far gone...

I think the only change in the 240 doors was the side impact bar got bigger/stronger and the door became heavier as a result. Not 100% on that though.

A panel beater over here made a jig and made new door skins out of flat sheet metal for one of the guys over here.

 

240Z doors don't have side impact bars.

Guys over here can make from scratch too but big $$$.

 

BTW, I posted on Hybridz and have had two responses from guys with "rust free" doors. Just waiting on pics and prices.
