Luke240 Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 I'm looking for a 260Z (2+2 is fine) with no rust, manual transmission and an L26 engine. Id be glad to look at unfinished projects which people may have hanging or fork out a little extra for a finished zed. I live in Sydney but would seriously consider moving an exceptional restored car interstate. If people are looking to sell please PM me as much information on your car as you can spit out into a message, the more the better. Quote
WogsRus Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 well not higaking the thread but make that two 2+2's Me to Quote

RBZ 260 Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 yeah prob mine won't be good for that. this one is modified to suit RBs... not saying it cant be returned to somewhat original. but it will be pain. even if its rb20DET its still go harder than the any of the L series. also mine is a running daily drive car at the moment. again may not suit your needs wogsRus. tbscobraZ Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 Having just been down this path expect to pay. For a nice rust free example over 7K if you're lucky less. Mine has plenty of rust and problems but was ridiculosly cheap and is driveable and roadworthy. Cheap 2+2 in sydney in good condition don't count on it. You will probably have to ship it from melbourne [larger population] not easy. Quote
WogsRus Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 seing as i just drove a rust bucket back from Melbourne, where i could see the road infront below me, i can do anything Quote
Kodie Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 seing as i just drove a rust bucket back from Melbourne, where i could see the road infront below me, i can do anything I know how you feel mate, mine was completely in pieces and had almost no bolts holding anything in...... including the seat/seatbelt and steering column!! Luckily, I had anticipated that it might well be in such a state so had a stash of cable ties and 200mph tape. I have a photo of the truck I followed home (No speedo and less likely to get pulled over while drafting a truck!) after getting off the boat, got him on the radio and informed him that his truck needs to be renamed to "Z'Guardian Angel"! Luke240 Posted October 21, 2009 Author Posted October 21, 2009 Haha Id be glad to pay 7K for a rustless zed, naturally the better the condition the more money id be willing to pay for it. Quote

WogsRus Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 WOW, i had no issues with things falling out, car was fairly sounds but still rusty to buggery. The sad thing about my car, although rusty to buggery, after Many years of no service, the thing ran like a charm and EVERYTHING worked, including headlights, indicators and stop lights. Quote
