Kodie Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 Well after ghosting various forums and searching the internet far and wide for nearly 3 years I have finally found something I am comfortable with price/condition ratio wise. Now its down to the final leg of the journey, getting over the spit of water called bass straight! Being that I am absolutely flat stick this month(2 weddings, business trip and a get away for my better half) and the fact that I work a 9/5 roster, it has become nigh on imposible to fly over and pick up my rusty mistress from the port and load it on to the norweigien rust bucket we call The Spirit of Tasmania". (Its also because im a tight arse and dont want to pay the ridiculous $530 that they want to take the car over unaccompained) So to that end Im looking for a way of getting it here, does anyone know of any one coming over that can "babysit" my car or does anyone know of a cheap frieght/carrier company. It pains me that I cant get a car 200km for the price it is costing me to get it 1300!! Anyways any help would be appreciated. Quote

If you pay for my brothers flight and the boat , he will drive the car down for you. He was originally going to come with me anyway, but then ran out of cash. Only problem the car should be there on monday and it will cost me $100 just to store it till you get there. At the moment the fares are off there head, due to peak season that is. It really pevs me that it costs so little to take your car with you on the boat but as soon as you aren't on the boat EVEN if you get it loaded by a mate on the other side and pick it up when the boat docks they put the price through the roof!!
