ol_skl_jp Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Hi guys I just bought a mac and have been playing around with aperture 2, its an awesome program. In fact i found it easier to use than photoshop. These are some photos i edited, the first two are mine the next two were taken by George on this forum. Giving credit were its due George i hope you dont mind me using your shots. They are very nice shots. I really want to buy a DSLR because im really getting into it, but it'll have to wait since i just bought a HD camcorder (we now have another camera to capture footage on the next VIC cruise) 2008 VICZCAR Christmas BBQ Churchill after the fires Last 2 are from the last drive the Sydney members had ***Also post your pics and maybe we can start a photography thread. And leave feedback both good and bad welcome. Thanks Quote

sexual_sushi Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 ahhh man up and learn photoshop, I'm doing photoshop lessons for $50 an hour haha but really those do look nice, i especially like the middle 2 photoshop isn't that complicated if you have someone showing you the basics but if you are trying to teach yourself it can be a bit hard knowing where to start. if you don't want to go full dslr the canon g9 or g10 i think they are up to is a great camera with all the manual settings etc anyway good luck with it Quote
mossy Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Love the photos, wish I could do that but I only know what to do with the big button on top and i even stuff that up sometimes . On another note I like the look of the SSR's, what size are they? Quote
ol_skl_jp Posted August 15, 2009 Author Posted August 15, 2009 Photoshop is great but it has too many features, with this one the one HUD has all the things you need to adjust a photo which makes it really easy. With the first photo the green is more dominant and doesnt make the car pop out, needs to be adjusted still learning what looks right and what doesn't. But thanks for the feedback guys. Mossy - I have changed them since then used to be F:15x8 0 offset R:15x8 -15 offset Now running F: 15x8 -15 R:15x9 -14 Quote
lightmaster240z Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Lov the photo mate and you came down my way to take photo and you didn't drop in to say Hi may be next time regards Bruce PS I know that road well in Churchill lost some friends not far from there. Quote
zedevan Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 adobe lightroom is also a cutdown photoshop just for editing photo's - my brother seems to like it so much that he bought it (around $100 i think) so maybe some of you guys would like looking into it also from what i've seen there are tutorials on youtube or other forums for just about everything i like my tz7 but it does need manual controls to do things properally. i want to get a camera that can control remote flashes, but the price of the flashes alone makes me not want to do that http://strobist.blogspot.com/ has some interesting things on it Quote
