mtopxsecret6 Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 Gday guys, reading through the two manuals i have, im going to start on the steering and basic suspension side of things soon, but it mwntions to fill units up like steering rack ball joints etc, to unbolt the filler plug and screw in a grease nipple plug and replace when finished. Ive not actually looked at my car as of yet, but, where do i buy one of these? can these be bougt from the auto shop where you buy the grease guns from? its abit of a silly question, but ive not heard of having to screw in your own grease nipple in a situation like this? Are they a unversial fitment or does it have to be datsun specific? Thanks. Quote
Thomo260 Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 The plugs were on OE manufacturing thing, they were also in the uni joints. Just replace them with regular grease nipples and leave them in for next time. Quote
mtopxsecret6 Posted June 15, 2009 Author Posted June 15, 2009 yeah, i was asking can the grease nipples be bought from the shops? Quote

Moderators Zedman240® Posted June 15, 2009 Moderators Posted June 15, 2009 Usually bearing/seals suppliers sell grease nipples of different types; like CBC Bearings etc..I know Wurths sell a kit with quite a few different styles in one plastic case. Quote
dazzed Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 make sure they are metric or youll be there all day Quote
mtopxsecret6 Posted June 17, 2009 Author Posted June 17, 2009 i've started taking out the suspension bits and found so far most of the bits have already got bleed nipple's. So, i dont need to buy any. thanks for the help people. Quote
