guys,

I am currently running an L28 with EFI and I have a sandwich plate with a front mounted oil cooler. I'm just wondering. If I were to add a supercharger or turbo would I run the oil directly from the sandwich plate or from the oil cooler (ie pre cooler or post cooler) Or am I on the wrong track entirely?

I found this on HybridZ, dont know if it helps  :-\

It connects to a Tee where the oil pressure sender is (next to the oil filter). You need to get the NIssan Tee, or re-tap the block for 1/8 NPT and do whatever you want. Just don't get any metal chips in the oil galley (rebuild time).

Yep, that's where mine connects to.  Then it just has a hose directly from the turbo to the sump for the return.

Here is the path the oil feed line travelled on my 1600. Out from where the oil pressure switch is normally then T off to new switch then behind head to the turbo. This is a solid line, but you can use braided flex hose.

Thomo,

How do you find the Weber draw through sytem?

I have a turbo to Weber manifold, weber carby and Z turbo exhaust manifold in the garage.

Was thinking about fitting it one one day,

but unsure if its worth it.

I loved it. 180hp ATW from an L18. Except you will never use the words Weber & economical in the same sentence again.

I have since sold this 1600 and have an opportunity to buy the turbo setup back off him. I think it would work well on an L26 as it was overkill on the L18.

Sorry Paul, forgot about this. It took awhile to get it sorted as it had a lot of problems with running too rich. The guy that bought it drove back to SA from here with no dramas. I am very tempted to have a go at setting it up on an L6 just to see how it would go. But I am not sure how I will go spreading it across 6 intake runners as on a L4 they are a bit closer together.

Vid of engine bay here-

Sorry if this is a hijack post.
