If it was an S30 the IRS arms would obscure the driveshafts, and the car just doesn't look right. Rear quarter windows are too large. Looks more like a mitzi Lancer. OZ001 Posted December 14, 2009 Share Posted December 14, 2009 ok i went last night and they ran out the anime versions. when i asked about the movie they had about 7 copies but went out as soon as they came in, but they didnt have the english subtitles. the wangan midnight movie with the english subtitles are being process at the moment and wont be release till next year early january apparently. DoctorZ Posted January 4, 2010 Share Posted January 4, 2010 Just watched the new Wangan Midnight movie at a friends house (wont say how he got it ) It's possibly the worst car movie I've ever seen! So many terrible errors in this movie that it just destroys it. The car that is supposed to be an s30 crashing looks like an old mitsu with hubcaps. Later in the movie the car is supposed to be on fire and again the rims are completely different and very very obvious. As mentioned before the car in the junkyard is a 260z 2+2. Most scenes are sped up to around 2x and it's obvious, especially when cornering it looks more like a Herby the love bug flick. When the main character is working on the car he's using a ratchet on places that don't have bolts. This crap is in every scene and it just takes away from the story which is also left wanting. And what's with the small rims? and the wrong ferrari? and the 2fast2furious rip off scenes (poorly done at that) etc etc etc. I went in expecting this movie to be crap and I was still dissapointed Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Mr Camouflage Posted January 5, 2010 Share Posted January 5, 2010 They must think people are stupid. a 2+2 becomes a 2 seater, then a Mitsubishi Lancer (the old school 1977 style one), for a split second in a crash scene, then back to a 2 seater, then a back to a Lancer for the final crash scene ... for minutes ..... and you're not supposed to notice They left the ending open for a sequel.
