Razz Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 does anyone know where or who i can talk to about getting all bushes in the car changed? I talked to Chris at Inline in QBN but he's always way too busy ( or he's avoiding the Z) So im back on the hunt for a full bush change, Canberra region preferred. anywhere recommended i should check out? xa1973 Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Hello Mate Why dont you give it a go yourself, most are very easy and fairly simple Theres some some good articles on here for the difficult ones, IE: Rear Suspension Assembly , Rear Member Assembly and front Transverse Link ( lower control arm ) Quote
Razz Posted March 7, 2009 Author Posted March 7, 2009 yeah, i hear the front's aren't too bad, but the rears are an absolute nightmare. so was thinking the fronts wouldn't be too bad to try, but rears i might shop around Quote
C.A.R. Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 Scott - fronts are easy. Rears are a wee bit harder, but not unpossible. You just need a jack, axel stands & a socket set Quote
warrenz Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 As everyone else said the rear's are the tough one's to get out. I disassembled the rear suspension and after I gave up , I took the trailing arms and the new bushes to Pedders and had then press out the old ones and put in the new ones, did not cost me very much. The rest are very easy. Warren Quote
2+2er Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 WARNING! When changing the front lower control arm bushes, you must remove the shell from the arm. My energy suspension kit said to leave them in and I killed a set of bushes forcing them in Picture of the offending part below Quote
