  1. hey all, I'm trying to suss out where to get, or who to talk to regarding repair or replacements of the door linings for both sides for my 260. Whoever had the car last had cut in some random sized speakers into the door. I had the holes fixed up to suit standard speakers in the metal work, but it leaves the fabric looking terrible. So question being, what are my options to get this looking good again? Custom interior? Ideas on how to repair? I can't get any pics up this evening, but if it will help I can take some tomorrow and post. Looking for a cheaper option, money right now is at a serious shortage :-p Cheers Scott

    WTB horn contact arm?

sounds like a fairly popular part to get broken any chance that in internals of the steering collum would be the same amongst other datsuns? need to hunt down a part for rego- lousy rego- if not, maybe might have to fab something up

    WTB horn contact arm?

fair enough, it is a random part that i'm sure you wouldn't even look twice at, or think about ever Know anyone wrecking a Z?
  10. Hey all, Through a series of some stupid thoughts and theories on my own and a mates part, I am in need of an odd part.. Don't know if my explanation will make much sense but I'll give it a crack. Behind the steering wheel is the small arm that makes contact with the ring on the steering wheel itself to work the horn. It's held in place by a single screw, holding it to a square-ish piece of plastic. It has a green wire soldered onto the end of it, right next to the screw. The arm then reaches out to the left, with a small metal lump on the end, which makes the contact to the wheel itself. I am in need of that arm, as we kinda ...bent..... the other one :'( and it no longer functions properly. So, if by pure miracle someone has one lieing around I would love to get it off ya! Cheers, Scott
  11. hey hey! I'm back on scene ( been a while ) I return with new brakes, fixed choke, new fuel pump, and some little bits n pieces here and there. Sunday run sounds good, I'm looking forward to meeting up with the crew where exactly is this MT bike track?
  12. hehe, brakes are what stopped me last time! i'm all repaired and ready for a cruise. If i'm not working saturday, i'm in when and where's?
  13. cool, interchangeable will make it easier to find i hope. same problem?
  14. was wondering why no one could open to passenger door from outside, so popped off the trim and found that the part where the handle meets the bit that works the arm to the door latch has snapped clean off. Now need a replacement. 260Z 2 door ( if that makes any difference) will gladly pay for all postage and handling costs
  15. nah, i won't be entering car. i'll come have a look around, but i'm getting into re-doing the interior, so it's not looking too pretty in there at the moment but i definitly plan to swing in and say hi
  16. yeah, i hear the front's aren't too bad, but the rears are an absolute nightmare. so was thinking the fronts wouldn't be too bad to try, but rears i might shop around
  17. does anyone know where or who i can talk to about getting all bushes in the car changed? I talked to Chris at Inline in QBN but he's always way too busy ( or he's avoiding the Z) So im back on the hunt for a full bush change, Canberra region preferred. anywhere recommended i should check out? Cheers, Scott

  19. let's all have a moments silence for when they crush the 370 that showed up.... what a shitter huh.... couldn't they just "lose it" the night before?
  20. ahh, sweet, photo's of the 370 with us all. a mate of mine doesn't believe that it was there. " but it hasn't been released" "it must just be a body kit on a 350" " theres no way" AHA... photos. sweet weekend!
  21. yeah, i dont think you can kill these things (not easily anyway) just the last few posts looks like we're all very worried
  22. i got the mechanic to do a full look over, oil changed, + extra oil and cooland in the boot. someone would suspect that we Z's get regular break downs :-\
  23. there's gonna be alot of liquer handed around at thredo I feel. Good timing on the birthday Happy birthday
  24. dropped the 260 into the mechanic for a looking over, wasn't running too hot, and he tells me that the SU's ( original ones) are not looking too flash anymore, and replacements would be worth thinking about. Question is, what should I go with? I figure, since i'm going to have to replace, may as well get a decent set of something. I plan to use the car for the rare skid pan day, and even rarer track day. more of a zippy weekender driver. fun is rated higher than fuel economy as I have a work truck that i drive around, and will really only be driving to have a bit of fun So, what do you recommend? SU's? webbers? pros and cons? all suggestions appreciated
  25. scotts + 3 silver that's us represented
