oldmates260z
My son's car leaks a heap of water through what he believes to be around the windscreen rubbers. The wipers are damaging the seal, is that common? What is the best fix? Is there other spots it could be coming in from if he is getting water in on the floor in the front? Moderators Zedman240® Posted February 15, 2009 Moderators Share Posted February 15, 2009 If it was my car, I'd remove the windscreen and check for any rust or check the previous installation. It may just need more sealant. I know when I get screens put it, its better to put in excess sealant rather than just enough. If your windscreen rubber is nice and soft still, bonus! But if its hard like plastic, time for a new one.
sexual_sushi
I was getting water pooling in my floors after rain. While I was driving I could feel water running onto my feet, it felt like someone turned. Turned out to be a rust hole under the windscreen wiper motor (under the cowl in front of the windscreen). Fixed that up now I am only getting water in through the doors where there are no rubber weather seals
