zzzzed Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 I didn't want to hijack enzos thred so i started a different one I have king spring lows for my 240z I was wondering if i need to move the control arms for these. I have read else where that 20mm up is the go, but do i relay need to go out as well. This is a road car i dint want to be wearing tyres prematurely Quote
Mr240z Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Why do you think enzos wrote the thread for........................................ Mate do some research on the subject. Nobody knows your car here e.g what it drives like, How its handles on the road, How it take corners etc Go do a search on HybirdZ and read what they say I,ve been doing allot of reading and still dont know where i,m going (spending more than 5 grand along the way)and still not fixed yet Quote
zzzzed Posted January 20, 2009 Author Posted January 20, 2009 Sorry man i have been on other forums and they get upset when you hijack their threds. I am still getting to know you guys. I dint know my car either, it is up side down on a rotisserie at the moment. I just thought that if i need to do it it would be best to do it whilst the cross member is out. I also thought that there must be some one on this forum that is running King Spring lows that may be able to tell me how it drives i have done a search and could not come up with the answers i have been looking for Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted January 20, 2009 Moderators Posted January 20, 2009 It all depends what you want to do with the car. Did you want to do club events at tracks? Or just lower it a bit for the road? Find out what you want to do then it will make it easier to find out specific info.. Quote
zzzzed Posted January 20, 2009 Author Posted January 20, 2009 as i said in the firs post its just for the road. I am not sure but i thinkking spring lows are 1" 3/4 lower Quote
Mr240z Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Hey zzzzed they the same springs i,m running. I,ve changed everything from bush,s to koni reds, tie rod ends, balljoints the list goes on. I just brought a set of 16x8 rota grids that might raise it up a touch, Got tyres today. So wait till after the weekend and i will tell you have it went. paul Quote
zzzzed Posted January 20, 2009 Author Posted January 20, 2009 Thanks Paul I am putting a full urethane bush kit through mine front and rear to I will also be ruining 16" rims so it should be a good comparison. My 240 wont be on the road for a year or so so i wont know until then I can say that it that when it was on the road, it didn't drive any different to what my 260z 2 seater does. Well not that i can tell any way Mick... Quote

I also thought that there must be some one on this forum that is running King Spring lows that may be able to tell me how it drives i have done a search and could not come up with the answers i have been looking for mate i have driven my a friends car with kingy lows, etc it drove really well, had good shocks stock swaybars, but the lows are a softer rate than the std height kings, get the stds and cut untill its low enough for you, as the spring also gets stiffer when you start cutting coils, (just dont heat/overheat the coil!!!) I must say cause it was lower, the body roll was reduced, but the bushes i reckon should have been done to be fair in comparo, also the biggest problem it did have was 'BUMP STEER' get rid of this in any zed and it drives alot better. Maybe a 20% stiffer only front sway/antiroll bar would have helped too, but overal it stuck pretty well for what the car was, a stocker!!! drop me a line if you wanna chat, still got my number??? cheers nat0 Quote
zzzzed Posted January 21, 2009 Author Posted January 21, 2009 Cool thanx man! Maby i will just put them in and see how it drives. If it bump stears to much, it dosnt take long to get the cross member out again Quote
