Silvia - s13 discs. Do they fit 260z?

Do silvia discs fit the zed cars? Someone told me they fit with a bit of stuffing around. Can anyone comfirm/give details, please?

The hub bolt PCD needs to be changed (redrilled) & the centre hole needs enlarging to let the Zed hub slide through.

 

Hopefully at the start of December I'll be detailing the S13/Toyota 4spot conversion...

lurch just idea but when i did my brake conversion used falcon discs and hilux 4 spot calipers bought falcon blank un drilled discs and machined hubs down 5mm to allow discs to slide on that way when i change discs just slip on dont need to machine discs each time as well as u just slip disc on and use holes in hub as guide to drill holes in disc might help

I've heard of that before. Whats the part number for the rotors?

The only problem is that DBA & other manufactures's won't sell undrilled rotors anymore, so

re-drilling an already drilled 5-stud rotor is fraught with 'issues'...

Lurch, when I used the Ford discs, they were for a Mustang - DBA106. But when I ordered mine it had a "B" on the end for blank. I'll ask my brake guy and see if blanks are still available. Micks conversion sounds alot like what I had done. From memory I machined around 6-7mm off the face of the hub but that was for the Nissan 4 pot calipers.

I have seen kits for sale in Japan for using the S13 rears on the rear of a 240z/260z - so I guess if the fronts work out then a complete S13 conversion could also be achieved.

will check with guy i bought my discs off see if he can still buy the blanks and what the part number is was couple years ago i got my second set

but as u say drilling 5 hole discs is not the best option

Found out the Ford Mustang discs are still available as blanks (DBA106B) as long as you can wait for them to be made. They are usualy made in batches every so often so if they have them in stock its a bonus. From memory they are approx 280mm in diameter and vented and 6-7mm has to be machined off a 260Z hub to fit.

Apparently blanks are available for any model car manufactured here; eg Ford Holden etc..

I was told a few years ago they stopped selling blanks - obv. this is not the case...

 

If someone wants the conversion done useing the Mustang rotors, I'll perform the job if the parts are supplied!

Not all the local rotors are blanks only those produced in large numbers as I was trying to get a HSV rotor in blanks and got told no as they don't make enough of them to pull blanks out of the production run. Also they are making it harder to get blanks as many of the rotors are now manufactured outside of Australia and they have stopped blanks for any rotor that is not made in Australia now e.g. say a VP rotor used to made in Australia you could get blanks then but maybe they are now made in China so DBA will not provide blanks anymore for this VP rotor (again just an example not sure if this is the case with VP rotor).

 

This is what I was told by DBA directly sometime ago. I would not be surprised if in the future you will be able to blank anything - this is why I have now moved to a 2 piece setup, make the custom hat once job done.

I was told if you want to buy a non standard blank you would have to buy a pallet of 95-97 discs! That's the minimum purchase....group buy anyone?
