ozphreak Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 Hey guys, I've recently bought a 260z in the last few months due to cash flow issues I'm possibly interested in selling this toy but only at the right price or theres no point... I would rather struggle a little and hold onto it then sell it for a quick buck. The Car is a 1977 260Z 2+2 momo equipped almost fully restored. Details are as follows: - 280z driveline ( twin SU'z ) - 5 speed manual - Limited Slip Diff - Clean black interior ( seats need work ) - Electric sunroof ( tinted but see through not metal ) - Zero RUST - Brand new paint - Custom front end - Body kit - Brand New clutch the car comes with a heap of spare parts, windows, trim, custom speaker molds. and a set of re-co Hitachi Carbys... PHOTOS HERE http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=4502&l=51113&id=1300291790 anyquestions about the car just ask and I'll do my best to answer them! the car is located in: Altona Nth, Melbourne. I've included my mobile number here for any people with serious interest. Andrew 0437-127-227 Now I'm not putting a price tag on this car... all fair offers welcome and appreciated, But as i said it's my lastest pride and joy it will be a regretful sale so i wont be selling this for an insanely cheap price. Additional note I've been told by a Datsun expert to not go below $6,500.00 so if that helps .. but as I've said any fair offers considered.. Quote
C.A.R. Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 Andrew, please post up a price - even 'Offers over '$X' amount'. You may have a completely different idea of what your Zed is worth, compared to someone else. Quote
chris240 Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 Haaaar just saw it !!! Andrew, 2 suggestions to help you sell it ..try to detail the car a little & maybe de-grease the engine bay to make it more presentable to people. and.....get riiiiid of the box in the back !! Hey Lurch , can you copy-paste this great pic on the front page gallery ......it deserves to go on the front page ! Quote
sydney mike Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 WTF is that box in your boot ROFL Its a Diff gasket isn't it??...I hope. Haaaar just saw it !!! Andrew, 2 suggestions to help you sell it ..try to detail the car a little & maybe de-grease the engine bay to make it more presentable to people. and.....get riiiiid of the box in the back !! Maybe the box is a ploy to get more money for the car! Classic.. BTW...Thats a BIG box.......... Quote
reverendzed Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 Hi andrew, Had a good look at your photo's and like already suggested general tidy up and detail will go a long way in helping you to achieve a sale. It also looks from the pics that the rear bumper/valence hasn't either been fitted correctly or is just sitting there, the old bumper mounting point is still visible. I look at 2+2's all the time and avidly watch what they are achieving at sale, it would be my thought that $3500-4000 might be closer to a realistic starting figure. You may find that the body kit is more of a hindrance than a help as it detracts somewhat from the classic styling of the rear of the Zed, all that said I wish you luck in getting the best price possible. ozphreak Posted August 5, 2008 Author Posted August 5, 2008 Thanks for the comments as i said a "Supposed" Datsun expert told me not to part out with it for less then $6,500 which i think is not realistic but I've put that there so people can beat me down, The car is anything but compleat but its a good starting point in my opinion wouldn't take alot to finish the thing off, I just dont have the time or the money to finish it properly but at the moment I'm leaning more and more towards holding onto it until i can afford to finish the thing. Cheers, Andrew Quote
sydney mike Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 Hi Andrew, you say you have a lot of spares lying around-why not try to make the car look complete as possible, clean it up a little bit to be more presentable as everyone else is saying. You sound like you're not that much of a rush to sell it so put it up on carsales.com, name your price and let market forces do the rest. If you don't like the offers, keep it and finish the job. I'm hoping you finish it anyway, Good luck. Quote
C.A.R. Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 Hey Lurch , can you copy-paste this great pic on the front page gallery ......it deserves to go on the front page! ROFL!!! I only just saw that myself! Let me see if I can get that on the front page... Quote
