luvemfast Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170236083228 I have asked the seller if I can view it. I'm considering taking of the stock injection and putting the triples on my car. Anyone interested in the rest of the car? Or a report on condition? Quote
FuzzyDropbear Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 Strange, it has one of the water bottles that was mounted in my engine bay (front right strut tower).... Mine was there to reduce the probability of detonation when boosting...... odd since it's with tripples... Ideas anyone? I will take dash if you part it out and maybe the engine. Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted July 10, 2008 Moderators Posted July 10, 2008 I thought those bottles were a vacuum tank for the heater controls etc...?? Quote
luvemfast Posted July 13, 2008 Author Posted July 13, 2008 Had a look at the car. He is hoping to get his money back (on a car ) of which he bought it for $2,200 and has spent $500 rebuilding the dellorto's. Of course there is rust. All the usual places, quite bad around the fuel filler. It has been resprayed a while back and left out in the weather for long periods. Engine starts and timing is up the sh1t. Oil is very black. The linkages are a bit home made, unless I'm just fussy. There was a fuel leak from one of the screws, which was loose so I would question the rebuild quality. Hole in the exhaust, so I'd recommend a replacment. Interior is not bad, missing some bits and torn in places. Dash has one of those top covers which looks pretty good. Spare parts- 73 doors (car is 75 so latch needs to be modified) rear passenger quarter panel front and rear end blue dash many other bits and pieces If this didn't have triples I think it would be lucky to get a bid IMOA Quote
luvemfast Posted July 16, 2008 Author Posted July 16, 2008 Sold for $2000 Was the "lucky" bidder from here? Quote
benny Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 the 73 doors are irrelevant beacause there from a 240z the 240z and 260z 2 seater doors were similar but the 2+2 doors are longer... Ben Quote
