HI Guys

New to this site.

Bought this 240z over 30 years ago so its not looking to good stuck in the shed!

I need a project, had great intentions all those years ago, so had the motor fully rebuilt, rust cut out and now slowly dying with sheep poo and whatever else is living inside.

Went to my Brothers farm where it has been stored since 1996, pretty ugly but never had the time to get it built and running, i need a project before i get too old to do it.

any info would be greatly appreciated, date of build? history of that year car is in MPH and build 00402 was reg in SA.

Had great intention of getting this done when my Nephew turned 21, now over 40!

Thanks Guys

#402 would be a late 70 build. Looks like it was originally blue (903) which is quite rare on an early car like this.

It looks solid enough, provided you can get it out of the shed and do something with it.

A couple of years ago HS30 00404 was listed for sale.

It was 905 red.

Can you confirm what the original colour of your car was? Engine bay has hints of blue but external colour is red-ish and boot area also looks red. Cars were often made in the same colour depending on chassis sequence.

HS30 00409 was 907 Green and found in QLD.

Any idea what the panels are half off your car? Would have been far better if it was sitting complete, now the interior is likely filthy. :)

Original colour was red but not a bright red, and yes car is filthy will take some doing to get it up to scratch, ha its been over 30 years.

Some panels i have at home.

i did paint the engine bay blue when the engine was out getting rebuilt, i thought blue would be a great colour but i will return it back to original colour.

I had all the rust cut out so will be interesting to see how it come up.
