Semi slick pressure and temps

Just picked up a new set of AO50’s in medium compound but I haven’t ran these before. The Bridgestone RE11’s I used to see up to 6psi increase after a session, I aimed for 32psi hot.

 

Is the an optimum pressure or temps with the AO50’s you guys aim for when hot for best grip? They’re 225/45/16. They didn’t have the 50 profile size unfortunately.

Will depend on your setup really but 30 hot is a reasonable base and you should expect a 7 or 8 psi gain from cold.

I found 28 hot works better for my car on the AO50. Starts sliding a lot at 30.

it will probably have an effect yes. 

set them at 24 and measure them hot when they come in. adjust them to 30 hot ( don't wait for them to cool down ). you dont want them any hotter than 30-31

Agree with Brett240, 30psi hot seems to be the sweet spot for the AO50s on a standard weight S30
