Hi Guys!

Im a bit of a newbie but here goes.

I couldnt seem to find a thread on this kind of topic after a bit of searching so i hope im not trying to revive a dead horse.

Looking to get the ol gal back on the road after a ring snapped and decided to have a go at the cylinder wall, so im after a decent engine machining shop in Brisbane (preferably Northside) that someones had positive experience with in the past or that knows the L Series well.

PLR Engines in Brendale seem like a decent option but the reviews are pretty bi-polar.

Any advice or opinions are very welcome, thanks in advance!

Ah great, thanks Lurch.

On another note, there seems to be a grey area around how much you can bore P30 blocks, my hopes were to take it out to 86mm so I could just use standard l28 or l20 pistons. Any thoughts?

If you know what you want, and, based on a sonic test, and their advice as to what you can bore it to,

All work is done in-house, jack Bros in Smallwood St Underwood.

For specific crankshaft work and full rotational assembly machining, and balancing, CrankShaft Engineering, in Browns Plains, is the place in SEQld that other shops use

But you do need to specify what you want.
