Enzo Posted March 3, 2017 Posted March 3, 2017 (edited) Hi Guys, Just came across a video on you tube regarding tips on solders of electrical wiring. I have been doing a lot of wiring alterations to my car and I am sure that some of you are not as experienced as others. So this video has some tips that I'm sure will come in handy. Enjoy. David. Moderators PB260Z Posted March 4, 2017 Moderators Posted March 4, 2017 (edited) Hi David. Nice vid, this is the kind of simple "how to" guide that can make all the difference when learning new skills. Personally I have never used the Silicon Paste, what are peoples thoughts / experiences with using that ? Thanks for posting Cheers PB Edited March 4, 2017 by PB260Z Quote
Enzo Posted March 4, 2017 Author Posted March 4, 2017 I have never used silicon paste but I learnt a few things so I thought that I would share since we all play with the wiring at some time. I'm a notorious fiddler. David Quote
YosemiteZed Posted March 4, 2017 Posted March 4, 2017 Hi I only use heat shrink tubing that has a 3:1 shrinkage rate that has an internal adhesive lining that melts into the connection and also seals the tube when you apply the heat gun. You can buy a mixed box of sizes on eBay for about $6.00 I have been in the electrical game for 40+ yrs and I find that this method is the best Cheers Phil Quote
