zedls1 Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Has anyone seen or bought the Survivor Car Australia magazine? if anyone has a genuine 240Z survivor car and may me interested in featuring their Z in the Survivor Car Australia mag let me know. I been asked by a good friend of mine who is involved with the mag to do a feature on the 240Z, but it needs to be a genuine survivor car. Thanks John Quote

GongZ Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 This is a quote from 'Survivor Car Australia' magazine's website; "What makes Survivor cars so attractive and intriguing is simply their rarity. Whilst thousands of customised, concourse and restored cars are on display at many car events around the country on any given weekend, very few Survivor cars are evident. What makes Survivor cars so appealing is their true original unrestored condition. You can restore a car a dozen times, but you can’t unrestore it. It’s only original once. Paint chips and scratches, dings and scrapes, worn stitching in seats and pit marks in the chrome. All of these battle scars give a Survivor car patina and character which not only tell us the story of its life, but also differentiates it from a restored or modified car. These Survivor cars are automotive treasures which are ‘worn in’ not ‘worn out’." http://www.survivorcaraustralia.com.au/magazine.html gav240z 1 Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted October 11, 2016 Administrators Posted October 11, 2016 Thanks, I guess my 72 240z won't qualify then as it's had 1 repaint in it's life. Quote
zedls1 Posted October 11, 2016 Author Posted October 11, 2016 Thanks GongZ, beat me to it. John Quote
d3c0y Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 (edited) How about my 240Z? It's pretty much untouched, just got a new paint job, g-nose, flares, different emblems, porsche brakes, skyline diff, skyline gearbox, skyline crank, 280ZX block and head, 180B wipers, different head lights, different fuel system, aftermarket carbs, exhaust, wheels, suspension, seats, steering wheel, tacho, radiator, ignition and a recovered dash. But yeah pretty much all original. Tell them to give me a call. Edited October 11, 2016 by d3c0y andyk_79 1 Quote
webmanic Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 My 240z (HS30-00084) is probably as good a surviving original as I've seen. Built September 1970 and bought from Ira Berk Redcliffe in December of the same year. There were only 5 delivered to Qld at the time and this was the only white one. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/43825-my-1970-240z-hs30-00084/#comment-448263 gav240z 1 Quote
