i noticed that some of the reproduction rails are completely straight ( baddog ones?), whereas the original have a very slight taper - may be 5 mm only

does anyone have the dimensions ? presumably the replacements compensate by having offset ends so that the rad frame fits with no mods

whether to go with the straight replacement frames or weld up existing

i can tell just a slight reduction from the blueprint. will have to scale the picture and measure it by hand

If you mark up what you want measured I can measure my car for you in the appropriate places. I did have a bit of a look this after and it is not a big taper. I think straight would work fine, be simpler and to be honest hard to pick once all the bits are in place.

thanks jeff

if you measure from the radiator frame back , ts basically the distance that the taper starts at, how long it goes for and what it converges to

appreciate the trouble

Ok hope this helps. I have tried to reduce the parilax error at the start so you can see the dimensions at the measurement end. Questions just ask. I'll have time tomorrow to give you more details as required. It tapers in and down looking from the front. The bottom is flat and the outsides are straight. The car is upside down in the photos.
