Which Panels Are Interchangeable?

Hi,

 

Which Panels are interchangeable between LHD & RHD??

 

I've been using carpartsmanual.com, so i know which panels are interchangeable between 240s, 260s & 280s on LHD's.

 

How do i find out if these same panels will fit the corresponding RHD Z?

Ben,

 

All panels are the same between different markets. The main differences are in the firewall for RHD / LHD.

 

The year of car can make a big difference to things like doors etc.. That's where you can get tripped up.

The cowl panels are different between Lhd and Rhd.

Also some markets got the side marker/indicator lights in the guards & some didn't. FWIW all the repro guards I've seen have had cut-outs for the lights.

Similar deal with the lower front corner panels, I think most but not all markets had marker/indicator lights there but the UK for example differed. Centre panel between them had minor variations.

Apron panels in engine bay differed between LHD & RHD.

I was thinking the rear quarter panel is probably different as fuel flap would be on the other side?

Pretty sure they are the same side regardless of LHD / RHD.

 

The early S30Z rear 1/4 panels have a cut out where the rear bumper goes (and obviously very early ones are solid with no hole behind the 1/4 badge 1970 models in Australia), but later S30Z's like 76-78 year cars had a solid flat panel where the rear bumper goes. This can be worked around obviously but is additional work.
