I find it interesting that the owner did the following:

 

1. Went with the vented rear hatch.

2. Went with vertical defrost glass. Early type.

3. Went with earlier S30Z tail lights and surround and noted they are very popular in Japan.

4. It looks like he went to a 71A Gearbox (same gearbox used behind Skyline GTRs and S20 powered early PS30's and of course early 240z's in Australia). - For some reason 1 of the parts I was happiest to get for my own early girl was the 71A Gearbox and tail shaft.

 

All this back-dating of parts etc.. reminds me of a lot of 911 SC's that get back-dated to look like earlier 911's.

What a great read and time lapse of a brilliant clean car. It goes to show how owning one car for a long period of time that it grows and evolves as you do.
