Early 70's Auto Magazine Artical on the BRE 240Z Story

I have a collection of old school articals on the S30. I plan to post a new artical every week or so. All of these articals are from the 70's so I'm guessing there will not be any copyright issues. If there are lets just keep this our little secret fellas!!!

Some of these old school reads are performance comparsions with direct competition the 240/260/280 had in it's day and others are on old school modifications. Always interesting to compare price of performance parts for Z's back in the early 70's. This first one is the Pete Brock, BRE story with the 240Z.

Hey Sulio,

yeah this is a good idea we have been planning to do this for a while. I was thinking of writing a php module on articles themselves however we can do this for a while. I'll create a new section

As Sulio mentioned I have been on a misson collecting magazine articles on the S30 for about 2 years now.

 

I have just cracked the 100 mark with the arrival of another 8 mags from the UK last week.

 

Attached is a list, I have not updated this list for a couple of months but it will give you a bit of an idea.

 

I did start to scan some but buying them mostly form ebay and swap meets has sort of taken over

 

If you want a look I will bring them to the show and shine this month

 

 

UPDATE ON MY 240Z

My wreck is still sitting in the shed and has not moved since February

 

So not much to report except I am suffering from withdrawal and the Bitsashitty (Mitsubishi) is coping a pounding as a result

Hi Dale,

Wow thats a huge collection. Is one of those new UK mags you've just recievd called MODIFIED RETRO CLASSICS or something along those lines? Have you got all those articls in electronic format ie can you put them on a cd rom?

What are you waiting for regarding repairing your car? I was in Ballarat last Tuesday but was pressed for time so we'll have to catch up on the 13th Nov. See you then!

theres an error in the spreadsheet in regard to the z philes zoom articles. Part 8 is in zoom number 37, not 33.
