PeterH Posted December 24, 2015 Author Posted December 24, 2015 More on the head...this head is a spare from an L26 engine. I had it put through a parts washing tank and I have found a couple of things. The inlet valve seat inserts are Brass or Bronze and the exhaust inserts are steel. Does any one know if this is normal from the factory. There is also a stamping on the top face ( camshaft cover face on the head) on the manifold side. Does this mean anything to any one? The head came from melbourne and I'm wondering if the markings are from and engine reconditioner there. Quote
