After being able to sort out my wiring etc and getting the car running - I have discovered that the brakes are going to the floor! extracted old fluid and replaced with new and attempted to firstly bleed at the master cylinder however there is no fluid coming from the master? Do I need to have the engine running to build up pressure in the booster to be able to bleed the master cylinder? Also same with clutch - I bled it at the slave and it was trickling out but I gathered if I remember, doing it years ago that under pressure it should be squirting am I correct? dat2kman Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Seal in brake master leaking nto booster shell. Possibility? Usually f no booster, it leakes down insde footwell behind carpet. Assume all brake line unions are tight, and pistons/slave cyl seals not leaking. Quote

Thanks - I can't see any leaking fluid anywhere inside car and no traces that it ever has - maybe master seals are shot from sitting for so long? Quote
