Rev Needs Your Help!

Hey guys,

As many of you know, not only do I have a passion for Zed's... but a passion for helping those who are struggling in poverty and those who are marginalised.  I'm currently planning to spend some time with the Shan people in Southern Burma who are under the oppression of civil war and where many of the young boys are abducted and sold into sex slavery - hard to imagine I know,  but this is an every day occurrence for these people.  Just last week one of the villages in the area was devastated through mortar attack with many killed.  In November, I am going to be spending time with those people and filming part of a documentary, hopefully I will return in one piece!  My role is to tell the story of lives and communities that are being changed around the globe, spending time with the kids, young people and families, in their culture and context to capture the hardship, the joys, their hopes and their dreams.  We live in such a connected world, when we share our stories together, everyone has an opportunity to partner with change, on a global scale - that's powerful!

 

I'm asking my Zed brethren, to consider ​If you would support me to get the necessary upgrades to my camera equipment to enable me to continue to tell the story to assist in the relief of poverty and suffering.

I had similar plans to shine light on other issues but since i am stuck in the rat race i am happy that someone else does it.

 

If you get into trouble please send me a PM - I have close connections to the Malaysian Crown who no doubt have some connections in Burma however i would only use such connection if you are in deep unfair trouble and it would take time as these people are always traveling.

Thanks Tomas - Appreciate your support.  I'm travelling with another buddy who also has military training and some experience in the Mekong area - Things have gotten real bad in the area in the last few weeks where we are headed - I'm going to be wise but the stories need to be told.  Thanks again!
