bbqjackson Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 (edited) Good afternoon all, I was curious if i could tempt anybody to part ways with their Zed (Coupe). Specifically looking for RB/J conversions - Located in Sydney but happy to venture between Qld - Melb, preferably Nsw & engineered - Manual / registered / road worthy condition - Minimal rust, not looking to take on an unfinished project - Budget 25-30k dependent on vehicle can stretch a bit more if needed - Fender mirrors / flares a plus P.s. i know there is one available on carsales for $49,000 Cheers Edited September 30, 2015 by bbqjackson Quote
dat2kman Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Will your budget strech for the "right" car? Are you set on a mdded/molested car, or consider a more "original" but full bdy resto car, with fully enhanced mechanicals, that has a proven performance record, and all steel panels intact ( no hacked rear guards with phatty phlares!) 74zzz Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 (edited) 25-30 won't get you a finished car one sold recent for 21 and needed at least another 10 spent on it to redo the interior and fix up body work, new wheels....... the price has moved upwards even since then....do some research on the cost and work in the conversion alone (10 grand and thats if you do most of the work yourself) plus the body.....non rollers on blocks needing full resto are selling for 12/15 plus all the gear in between.....40 will be more your Mark Edited September 30, 2015 by 74zzz Quote

As for budget, ideally i like to stay within that range but send me a pm with what you have and price. Quote
74zzz Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 or go an rb 2+2 that will be closer to the money you want to spend Quote

I believe there has been two rb25's in the last year, one in particular (lime green) that was built properly as i followed the post quite closely for 25k if the market for them has gone up, then that is fine. 74zzz Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 wasnt an opinion mate it was information. you'll need to spend more to get what you want. you didnt specify you would consider a 2+2 so I suggested it as an alternative........seeing how the red one you were lusting after was a 2+2 Quote

74zzz Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 my lips are sealed......forgive me I thought this was a forum. Good luck and i hope you find something Quote
Iceberg Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 I think it achievable for modified but standard engine cars in fair for its age condition. Be prepared to purchase the right car the same day it is advertised or it will be gone the next. Quote
dat240z Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 I have a 71 240z. Bells and whistles as far as mods are concerned. Willwoods, coils, r200 diff, series II rb25det motor + box. Engineered, sparcos, new interior, bare metal paint list goes on - push button start, carbon bits, new lights etc etc... Fully legal, fully sick!! Insured for $50000. I'd think about letting it go for that if you are serious. Quote
