krizza Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Hi, I just wanted to introduce myself and say what a great site you have here! My name is Kris and I have been a lover of Zeds and all things Datsun / Nissan since I was a teenager. A couple of previous cars I have owned are a 77 260z 2+2 auto (about 20 years ago) , and an 89 S13 silvia with ca18det. I have just purchased a 1975 260z 2+2 manual with A/C and am planning on a basic restoration and using it for weekend cruising. It is in very original condition (still has matching number L26 and original paint colour - some kind of burn orange / red) and the body has very little rust. The first owner had it for ~35 years in SA, so I think that has helped. I can only assume it was garaged for most of that time. It has had two owners in the last 5 years since being brought over to Perth and came with a heap of documentation including the original deposit and purchase receipts! It also came with the original steel wheels and hubcaps, but currently has 14" "jellybean" style alloys fitted. I am currently in the process of gathering parts to refresh the suspension, and it has a rusty exhaust so that will be replaced with headers and a new exhaust system. I look forward to getting to know you guys, and appreciate the knowledge this site provides. Here is a pic I found of the car at last years WA Z Register gathering. Cheers, Kris Quote
