Shaun05 Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 I've done a search on this but have only come up with topics that are 5+ years old. Where can I get either NOS or good reproduction 1975 260Z 2 seater door trims (including door cards, not just a replacement skin)? I realise they'll be pretty expensive but I want a pair, so I guess I'll end up paying what ever the market dictates. I have only found 1 company in Australia called "Polyweld" that makes what they refer to as a reproduction. They don't appear to have any holes in them, aside from the door latch hole, so I assume you still need to put those in yourself. Has anyone had any experience with this company and their products? What's the quality like? Good fit? Are they a decent remake of the original? Here's the link to their website. You can also find them on facebook. http://www.classicbritishgerman.com.au/shopdisplayproducts.asp?id=62&cat=POLYWELD+Reproduction+Door+Trims Quote

Administrators gav240z Posted July 30, 2015 Administrators Posted July 30, 2015 Hi Shaun, Welcome, have you seen this thread? http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,16266.0.html The door trims you linked to look OK but not quite OEM to me. They are missing the 'fake wood grain' that the 260z's had. First thing to do is determine where your lock position sits relative to the end of the door card. Is it 15cm or ~22cm from the rear of the card? This will determine if you need 'early' or 'later' 260z trims. I can get late ones relatively easily, I'm having a hard time finding the earlier ones. I have 2 other people who have indicated interest in a pair. My supplier in Japan is being slow to respond to emails. I suspect getting the correct part no. might help. The problem with 75 model is that I believe there was a mid-year change, and you can't just say 75 model door trims. I did that last time and ended up with the later ones.... :-S. Quote
Shaun05 Posted July 31, 2015 Author Posted July 31, 2015 Thanks for the response guys. My doors are the early variety, with the lock approximately 15cm from the end of the card so would require the early model door trim. I will PM you for some more details. Quote
