As most of you know, I am happy to help out where I can, and if it involves a few beers, or a bottle of 'Ard 'Licker, even better!

Ok, Casey T ( short curly headed passionate about his very neat 240Z Kiwi feller, AKA Z, on here)

Has asked me to give him a hand, in fitting up lots of shiny polished bits, mainly from AZC, who has been most helpfull, to his 240Z

This involves fitting the 260 Z struts he bought off a fellow member!

Here's the problem, Casey took his 260 Z F&R complete struts to Ken Graham at Accurate Suspension, here in Qld, and asked Ken to strip them down, remove hibs and LCA'a etc, so Casey could get them powdercoated to look nice.

Ken told Casey the fitted Bilstein inserts were rooted, and decided to keep them,

along with the 260Z strut gland nuts!

Now, Ken Graham tells young naive Casey his Bilstein inserts are " gone" and has no knowledge of the gland nuts.

Casey did not realise the Billies are rebuildable and are as expensive as they are, and has been told by Ken to cut off the already sectioned struts and weld on Commodore threaded top section and se Commodore nuts.

Nice bloke hey!!!

We think the Billies are long gone, into someone elses Z, and now ASAP, to get Casey's car finished, we need four  x Strut Top tube Gland Nuts to suit the bigger 55mm 260 Z struts.

Can someone post them to me. Casey will be sure to fix you up with $$$, i wont let his car leave my shed until he does!

If you can provide measurements I may be able to help... have 2 x gland nuts from the front struts of my Xt130 Toyota corona, not sure if they will fit, but I guess there must be somewhat of a chance!

You have a lathe and mill there at home ,Jason .Make him some gland nuts.

If only ky eyes were still working,,,,

Cannot see detail anymore, central vision is shot.

Slightly off topic Jason but are you sarong that you no longer have a use for your large and mill? Need them disposed of  ;D

Scoota you can see why the struts aren't ready mate. Yup, I was a returning and well paying past customer of accurate suspension, hard to imagine really. If anyone is swollen with glands let us know, Jasons shed makes anybody's car look good, but would appreciate any help.

PM sent.

Brad, i'll hang onto the mill drill and lathe for a bit longer, they are still very usefull for and old fitty&turny type bloke!

Seeing as the suspension shop here in Brisbane, decided to not return them,,,,,

We dont know which ones!

The ID of the thread on the struts is about 51 mm, and the Konis we are fitting stand up out a little, so the "deepest" or tallest ones of those that can accept the top of the insert poking out a little.

( i can easy enough fit spacer rings if need be)

Tell you what i'll send 4 round ones up and four of the others (two of which are genuine wet leg items) see which ones float your boat.
