Are these interchangeable with the smaller orange ones ? ie can you use both the orange ones and blue ones and have them interact with the timekeepers equipment at the same time ?

No, they are both Dorian. When you cross the line the time keeper will see 2 cars (2 ID).

Yeah, I probably didn't explain myself very well, what I meant was could I use the blue one instead of the orange ones that most (all ) timekeepers up here in NSW seem to have as hire ones. Not could I use two at once.

Dave, the blue dorians are the first gen version and the orange ones the second gen version.

 

They both use the same infrastructure in the tracks to register the time.

 

The blue ones are about twice the size of the orange ones, so if you find an orange one for sale grab it.

Going rate is around $250 for the blue ones.

They hold charge lnger than the newer smaller battery units.

Blue larger one, with its correct charger and cradle, and the plastic tray that it fits into that you then attach to floorpan via three holes, using wingnuts inside the cabin.

All in original Dorian Industries original box.

Only ever used at Historic meets.

 

Note the Dorians do require throwing onto their charger, and then running right out, once every couple months.
