240Z_au Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Guys Looking for a neat solution for a choke cable. Currently have 2 original cables for the SU's hanging, need to get something to get my triples connected. Any suggestions?. Much appreciated. Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted April 12, 2015 Administrators Posted April 12, 2015 I have thought about this, but not actually done it. The SUs have twin cables, but I think with the triples you could run a single cable to each choke point on each carb. You might want to get a new cable from a bicycle store or similar? I don't think you'd need 3 cables 1 for each carb. I'm interested to see what solution you come up with though? Quote
Riceburner Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 All the triples I've seen don't have them connected and mine weren't either. Cold starts should be as easy as three full pumps of the accelerator pedal and then hit the ignition. Quote
240Z_au Posted April 12, 2015 Author Posted April 12, 2015 Yeah, the starts aren't too bad, but with chokes open its much easier and smoother, plus... (ever tried single digit degrees C cold start?). I don't want to redo the cables and prefer to keep original cable set-up. I think I can do a single rod lever connected to all carbies and then use the 2 cables to work together as they have been for the SU's.. Its a bit of mucking about, but I'd like to get that sorted neatly. Was hoping someone out there saw a solution. Quote
