chris240 Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 For a camshaft & If you mean for an L series, Crow cams still list a good "street" cam. Most of the big boys like rocket Ind should have access to Crow cams. Quote

44014 Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 I have a healthy sized cam with lash pads and rocker arms to go with it for sale? Cam is a Ivan Tighe 369C that i have just installed and basically run in only. Driven car 7km with the cam in the car was brand new when installed. Still in car only selling as have just purchased a L28 injected turbo set up. $350 plus postage. Will need to get short valve stem seals and aftermarket springs due to the amount of lift exceeds the stock springs capabilities. Cam pulls from 3500-4000 ish rpm I have revved my engine to 7500rpm and it was showing no signs of running out of puff and has a nice lumpy idle. Cheers Doug Link to cam specs http://tighecams.com.au/profiles3/nissanlseries.htm Quote
dat2kman Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 For turbo application you dont want big durations. Maybe have the intake open and close a little later. Have a read of the Racer Brown guide to camshafts, he covered boosted applications. Quote

Ahh Didn't take in the fact he is doing a turbo conversion. yes my cam would be no good as all your boost will blow out the exhaust. Quote

bryan3976 Posted February 12, 2015 Author Posted February 12, 2015 scraping the turbo idea for now i wana drive the thing so any n/a cam yours may be a bit crazy looking at maybe 72deg and 74deg cam from swmotorsport Quote
dat2kman Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 You're in Melbourne, go straight to Clive Cams. A nice streetable 72 degree regrind on a stocko cam, or a little bit more aggressive, a 74 degree on a blank, to get the lobe centres right. Clive bought out Wade's, he knows his stuff. Quote
44014 Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 We call it the man cam, are you man enough? Ha ha. It's not to bad off can still has reasonable performance but would need triples and a good exhaust as minimum to run it. Quote
HKSZ Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 looking at maybe 72deg and 74deg cam from swmotorsport are you after an internal or external oiling cam? Quote
