Is any one running these what are your opinions .can it be used as cam position sensor like the turbo 280zx dizzy.

I was very close to buying one and was talked out of it by 2 carb tuners, in their opinion they said they aren't good inside.

 

Either go and get an L28 distributor and get it rebuilt or get a bosche one made.

 

I got one made and it was about $700 but they would probably last forever.

I believe Vivek is using one after his 280ZX item packed it in. I have one here on Andrew's engine. They have 3 wires. That's as much as i can tell you.

mine has just come looks like a good bit of kit but still need to run a ballast resistor with it ill install it and see how i go would any one like some pics of the install pm me

so found that my  rotor cap carbon button had seized after a week and had fryed the distributor great start to the weekend i would stay away from them imo .

I know of someone who had 2 x targa Tasmania events ruined by faulty Mallory dizzy's & from memory they effectively self destructed inside...on 5 x separate occasions over 2 targa events! >:(

 

My 280zx one has been going 10 years of sprints & with 4 targa events...& is still going strong!

You could try taking it to 'scorcher ignitions' in Nunawading. Get them to check it over, they fully rebuilt my current dizzy, it now operates with mostly holden parts.
