Kinda on topic, I noticed in the MSCA calendar there's only one event at Phillip Island later this year? Usually it's 2-3 isn't it? They've put a motor khana in there lol! Quote

luvemfast Posted February 1, 2015 Author Posted February 1, 2015 Was a great day. Started off very wet! But dried off and had some great runs. I was put in the same group as the only other Z entrant, Richard. We had some great battles, but they called our group to join an earlier group. And dad was still on the track, as we shared the car. So I missed the final run and Rich smashed his old time by 1.2 seconds and ended up beating me by 0.6 in the end. Man the cars fast down the straights. Can't tell you the speed as JDM speedo only goes to 180. But I was catching a Lotus Elise or Exige and a 370Z. Corner speed and brakes clearly need attention now. We only did 4 runs in the end, but that's 8 for the poor old Z's. Then we had to drive it home! PMC strong!!!!!! I'm hoping to do a few more this year. Quote

Tyres not giving me the best grip, which dramatically affected, braking, corner speed and race line. But…… I caught up to cars on the straight that I would have expected to be quicker. Such as 370Z, Lotus Elise (n/a I’m assuming, not boosted), WRX and others. Dad did well too, getting a 1:37.3436 Quote
Azman1984 Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Yes can most certainly hear those tyres protesting. I miss taking the car out on the track specially sandown, I think from memory my quickest in the 2+2 was about 1:49 with a reasonably stock engine. Car sounds very nice Quote

My fastest lap, where the video didn't work, I removed the airbox and piping. Allowing the car to breath better......
