stevofoxono Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 Hey all, I've been a Victorian for the last 9 months down the peninsula. It's too damn cold and why does it rain in winter? lol When I made the move I chose to drive the cheap daily and thought I'd fly back up and drive the zed down. It's taken me alittle longer to save up some funds than I thought but now I think I can do something, unfortunately zeds outta rego and I see myself being a permanent southener for atleast alil while longer so I'd like to get it transported down here Can anyone recommend someone and give me estimates? or is anyone headed down this way and have spare room for one more zed? haha cheers Quote
benny Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 as a fellow peninsula friend I can attest to the damn chilly weather!! I have used a few in the past. Ive used these guys twice - Sky Logistics - http://www.yellowpages.com.au/qld/springwood/sky-logistics-13898351-listing.html and also check CEVA. Ben Quote

benny Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 were you driving around rye this arvo? and cheers! ill check out sky logistics, ceva quoted $838 is that a realistic price? (picked up and delivered) $838 sounds about right... i cant recall how much I paid in the past. I do however remember that the haul from BNE to MEL was cheaper then MEL to BNE. Im zedless at the moment so wouldn't of been me. Im based in Rosebud and Work in Sorrento, where abouts are you? Quote
DreamZproject Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 Hmmm I got mine for a bit over $600 if my memory serves me right... Have a bit more of a shop around and I'll see if i can find the name of the company i used. Quote
44014 Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 Had my 20B roller transported from sydney norther beaches door to door $400 place called leisure transport. Quote
dat2kman Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 You will always get odd pricing, depending on start - finish location, with car transport, due to the location of the manufacturers new car holding yards, which are in Sydney and Melbourne. The car transporters are often full ( ie its more expensive) coming out of Melb & Syd, but backload trips, often finds vacant spots on the trucks, hence cheaper prices. Try getting a price Syd/Melb to Darwin/Perth! A backload trip from these is way cheaper it's all to do with new car movements. Quote
stevofoxono Posted July 29, 2014 Author Posted July 29, 2014 I've probably seen you around benny, I live in tootgarook I used to work at coles sorrento as the duty manager but now im the deli manager at rosebud, come in and we'll talk zeds one day haha Maybe you've seen me rollling around in Just got the green light with the tax man and it's gonna be a good year lol I'll start calling around next day off, geez $600 would be nice haha lucky i'm still on the east coast lol Quote
