Hi there,

 

For great finish, suggest having them sand blasted and then powder coated. Had mine done last year, cost around $100-150 I think from memory.

 

If you are going to do it your yourself, the KBS Coatings chassis kit. Its a three step process. This is was what I had planed on using until I got lazy.

 

Colour for either option, satin black.

Won't powder coat it, because I use the car everyday so it will be a weekend job

Have to remove the rear crossmember to replace the insulator that's when it will done

VHT do an epoxy paint that is hard as hell, it's actually designed for use on suspension components. I used it on my wheels and it has held up very well.

I bought the KBS satin black but when I applied it, it was more liike gloss......a friend here had the same experience .....has any one else used it??

Yeah i had the same problem about 6 months ago. They had a labelling mistake and after i notified KBS about it they sent another tin and it was a Satin finish

thanks for that......I'd like to make it very clear that the product is eveything it claims to be..excellent.....my friend contacted the supplier here but didnt get the reply about the miss labelling.....

I use KillRust on everything, easy to paint, super shiny and available in multiple colours. I've done all my suspension, diff and engine bay in it.

just bought KBS rust seal (satin black) from a mob in campbellfield... its actually gloss black. They offered to replace the lot, even though i used 50% of one of the tins  :D
