Hi Guys,

My name is Dave and I have literally just purchased a 260z 2/2 and by literally, I mean it is coming in from interstate, so hopefully there's gonna be some photos online in the next few weeks.

While I'm here - the fella I am buying it from has a Blue Slip done for the car - now obviously I need to get the RWC - any recommendations from the Elders of this forum? I'm in the inner west but happy to drive a little to get what I need.

Thanks

Welcome Dave

Just purchased a 2+2 well - done. Look forward to seeing photo's.

Can't offer any advice on RWC's in Melb but I am sure someone else can.

What sort of plans do you have, or is it too early for that.

Cheers

Yes looking at a few things, provided that the inspections dont hit me too hard in the wallet, i am looking at acquiring a few bits and pieces from Japan.... Goodies from Rocky Auto looks pretty promising.... Rims and tyres also pretty cheap from the States too so maybe a Set of Enkei's?

Another welcome Melbournite!  The more zeds the better in Mexico! Post pics when you can...

Any good mechanic will give you a RWC...try to find one that knows about the older cars; especially Japanese and you should be fine.

Hi Guys / Dave

Well done on the purchase.

Don't know the west of the city that much can't help ya.

I am new member in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

It been 20years in coming, but finally bought my project Z

1977 260z 2+2 5speed with factory sun roof , light blue, it's had some work done

, she is pretty straight and no real rust to see at this stage.

New radiator

New exhaust system

Rewired

Mag wheels refurbished

New dash skin

but still needs a lot more - but that's half the fun they say.

No reg right now need to get some new induction happening, the Hitachi SUs flat tops are dysfunctional, thinking triple Weber's may be the go, hope to the get it on the road to start with - then the games will begin.

Set up with some club reg plates - any advise on how to get club plates would be greatly appreciated.

Looking forward to meeting some members at a club day some time.

Cheers AK
