d3c0y Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 Hey Guys, As the title suggest need a rear sway bar and mounts for a 240z. I'm located on the Gold Coast, but prepared to ship. Quote
d3c0y Posted May 28, 2014 Author Posted May 28, 2014 I just want the stock size 2 seater one, not sure on the thickness. I only have a stock front bar at the moment so i want to keep it balanced until i change that one too. Needs to be the low mount type unless you have the moustache bar brackets to go with the other type. Quote
dat2kman Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 What size are you after Where do I know that number plate from,,,,, Quote
Scoota G Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 I have 260Z items sitting out the back. Are they the same width? Quote
d3c0y Posted May 28, 2014 Author Posted May 28, 2014 The mounting could be different can you take a photo of it please? Quote
Scoota G Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Here's one of the two i have. The mounting points should be attached to the chassis but i don't have the plates. Having said that the would be simple to fabricate. Quote
Gordo Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 From my experience , the 240 bar has a bend in the centre and won't fit the 260, tried that. But not sure if the 260 will fit a 240z. Quote
nat0_240_chevZ Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 gordon is 'Spot-ON' the 260z one is straight as pic'd above, 240z appears to hum forward, or some I have seen also hump downwards. Nat0 Quote
d3c0y Posted May 29, 2014 Author Posted May 29, 2014 Thanks for the responses guys. Have a 20mm bar , I think is std. How much do you want for it? I can pick it up this weekend i'm just at Miami. OK so my question is, since the 260Z has the same rear suspension why are they different? It looks like there are two types from what i can tell, 240z - 260Z S1 and then MY76 onward. Do any of the factory bars mount like the bellow pic and is it any better than the stock style mount? Is it just easier for the aftermarket to make it like that and can you get aftermarket bars to fit the factory mount? I guess there is no point setting everything up for the stock bar if i will have to change to an aftermarket one anyway. Quote
