wildy55
...the post (fairly recently, less than six months) about stock seat rails not going the full length of their travel. I seem to have the same problem when refitting my recovered seats. The last two positions to allow the seat to go fully backwards can't be accessed. The rest of the slide works as it should and there's no obvious reason for it to stop. Anybody remember (I did a search but nowt), or anyone know a fix to get full travel? wildy55
That's the kiddie, Gav. That's the same problem and like in this post, mine stops two gaps short. Anyone got a solution to this?
44014
I was at Mats house the other day looking at these. It appears that after years of fat arsed blokes bouncing up and down on them that the ball bearings seem to develop little flat spots and instead of rolling in the rail they slide and the ball bearing carrier gets stuck on the rail stopper preventing you from getting those 2 extra spots. i fiddles with it for about 15 minutes and diagnosed it as f$%@ed. Hi seat also only did this once he took it out and out it back in ..weird eh? Cheers Doug
wildy55
Think you might be right. Never had this problem before so the rail might be cactus, as there is no way to take them apart that doesn't involve a grinder and a mad grin
