custommade Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Hi guys, recently been laid off and thinking about selling my zed. It hasn't had any work done since this http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,9684.msg95048.html#msg95048 What do you think its worth? Has no engine got most if not all parts other than the engine. New seal kit from the states the expensive one. ? Quote
Retro Z Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Hard to say really. As its worth only what somebody is willing to pay. But i'd say 10k is easily achievable if that is fresh paint and rust free. Also considering its a series 1. The main factor that may scare off potential buyers is that it has no engine. Slap it on ebay/gumtree and see what people are willing to offer. Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted February 17, 2014 Administrators Posted February 17, 2014 I'm guessing you're not rushed to sell? Take no less than 10k in my opinion. But that is just my perception on the value of such things. But on the flip side there is still lots of work to do / undo depending on what someone wants to do with it. Did it have the original block when you bought it? If so where did it get to? Would be worth reuniting them for sale. As it will then have more appeal to a collector looking to restore to original etc.. Quote
custommade Posted February 17, 2014 Author Posted February 17, 2014 No original block unfortunately. Thanks for the help guys. Quote
d3c0y Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 I don't think the engine thing is a big deal at all to be honest. You don't have to pay for an engine that you potentially don't want. Odds on that unless it's an L28 in decent condition it will get swapped out anyway. Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted February 18, 2014 Moderators Posted February 18, 2014 Missing engine / major rust repairs.... whats worse? I'd take the missing engine in a heartbeat! Quote
