cracker Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 As the topic says, looking for some lowered springs for my 240z - Ideally to lower the car 1-1.5 inches and stiffen the ride somewhat. Would love to get springs with around 200lbs - 300lbs but happy with as low as 150lbs+ if they are available. Unfortunately the set I had ready to install don't fit the spring seats/perches so am trying to source another set. Hoping someone has a second hand set lying around they are happy to get rid of - budget up to $120 posted having seen low king springs (and others) sell here for $50 and $100 in the past in decent second hand condition. If you have a brand new set that suits please PM and I'll see if I can stretch the budget. Can pick up in Adelaide, feel free to PM or call/text 0403 five two seven 398. Cheers James Quote
cracker Posted January 2, 2014 Author Posted January 2, 2014 Seen Mikey's for sale ad? Yeah, thanks - they are to suit 260z though Quote
cracker Posted January 7, 2014 Author Posted January 7, 2014 Nobody? Will just buy new if no-one has any lying around - King springs are going to set me back $250 so I'll be happy to spend up to around $200 for a second hand set with a linear spring rate (as opposed to the progressive found in the king springs). nat0_240_chevZ Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 kins std height are a linear coil, grab some and lop half a coil off them, this also makes them stiffer again... have you looked at the top isolator size/height? if you happen to have the really tall ones, you could swp out for the slimmer 240z front items, which drop 1.5' alone!!! nat0 Quote

I don't really have the appropriate tools either... I don't suppose you know the spring rates on king std height springs? Quote
cracker Posted January 8, 2014 Author Posted January 8, 2014 Never mind, got the following info from king springs: KDFL-08 305mm 100-170lb (needs to be progressive to be captive at full drop) KDFS-08 295mm 185lb KDRL-09 285mm 175lb KDRS-09 315mm 175lb Quote
