Daalp1 Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Hey all, One of the little plastic wheel things (as pictured ) which guides the window sliding mechanisms has deteriorated to the point of no longer being able to use the window. Do you know where I could get these from and how to fix it? I would go wreckers but not confident at removing the pin that holds it without damaging it. l am a noob at this sort of stuff btw! Regards, Den. Quote
dazzed Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Its little things like that which are hard to find and hold things up , you might have to put a complete 2nd hand unit in , you have windsay at the z shop just down the road from you im sure he would have one. Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted December 31, 2013 Moderators Posted December 31, 2013 Forgot who, but someone mentioned to me they went to Bunnings and found some shower curtain or curtain rails with some rollers that were similar in size? They worked a treat and had bearings fitted which made it a lot easier in effort to wind up and down. Quote

Go looking for sliding door rollers - heaps to choose from. http://www.bunnings.com.au/our-range/building-hardware/door-window-gate-hardware/door-track/spares Quote

Daalp1 Posted January 12, 2014 Author Posted January 12, 2014 Found this great little replacement for the wheels (see images) at Bunnings thanks to the kind advice given above; was a direct screw on and now got my windows sliding up and down again! Cheers, Den. Quote
