jasonmac Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Here is a photo of the switches in my '75 2+2. It's looking rather non-standard! Some have no effect (that I know of!). Does anyone have a pic of the original layout of the switches (hazard, demist etc)? I've seen some 240z pics online but not sure if the bus has the same layout. Other than ebay where can I buy missing switches and indicators from? Thanks, Jason Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted October 3, 2013 Moderators Posted October 3, 2013 First, the defogger lamp and rear demister switch are correct, hazard is in wrong location, I'd move it to the center where that red lined knob is, you are missing a choke lamp which should be where the hazard switch is now. That other black knob on the double panel is DIY along with the blue lamp. Quote
Scoota G Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Yea i have a choke lamp, verrrry gay looking! The centre bottom one is fog light switch location on models without hazards. Quote
YosemiteZed Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 The red lined knob in the photo that is in the centre looks like the temperature switch for the AC type that is attached to the firewall (not the integrated centre consul type) this switch is generally located on the passanger side footwell underneath the dash. When you investigate the switch it should have a cooper coil and two electrical spade connections.the switch is the hot-cold temperature control so see what AC system is installed in your car. I dont have pics of the firewall type AC but I have seen that knob on a switch attached (passanger side) but i am sure there are people on the forum that might be able to give you some extra info.but its probably in a good location as the driver can easily adjust the thermostat.
